This is Samuel McPaul. A 28 year old fire fighter who died when a “fire tornado” overturned his truck. Their sacrifice shouldn’t go unheard. Rest In Peace Hero.

I'm sorry... A what tornado?

youshewewumbo:

A volunteer firefighter whose wife is pregnant as well. That poor family, they should be so so proud of him. RIP.

Oh_Hai_Dare:

Emergency responders are going to be another “greatest generation” as climate change increases.

wholigan82:

And he's not even the first firefighter to lose his life this way. During the Carr Fire in Redding, CA Chief Jeremy Stokes lost his life after his truck was picked up and thrown by a fire tornado. I never wanted to see another headline like this.

Cnoggl01:

RIP

Bobblio121:

And I thought drowning was terrifying. A fire tornado...

Another warrior lost to the world. Rest in piece and I hope the family knows that all his work has been for the betterment of mankind.

> The #NSWRFS firefighter killed at the Green Valley Fire, east of Albury is Samuel McPaul from the Morven Brigade in the Southern Border Team. Today Service flags will be flown at half-mast as a mark of respect. Our thoughts are with Sam’s family, friends & fellow Brigade members.

Per here:

> The fatal truck rollover near Jingellic on Monday night was caused by an "extraordinary weather event" when a "fire tornado" lifted a 10-12 tonne Rural Fire Service truck and flipped it onto its roof, Rural Fire Service Commissioner Shane Fitzsimmons said.

jfk333:

goodoleboybryan:
